Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Probe Toolkit ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you should not use the Service.

Description of Service

Probe Toolkit provides free, browser-based IT, network, and developer tools. The Service is operated by Patchen Technologies LLC. Tools include DNS lookups, WHOIS queries, IP geolocation, encoding/decoding utilities, and other network and developer utilities.

Permitted Use

You may use Probe Toolkit freely for both personal and commercial purposes, subject to the following conditions:

  • You must use the tools lawfully and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • You must not use the tools for any malicious purpose, including but not limited to unauthorized network reconnaissance, harassment, or any activity intended to harm others.
  • You must not attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls.
  • You must not use automated scripts, bots, or other software to make bulk requests to the Service without prior written permission.

Rate Limiting

To ensure fair access for all users, the Service enforces rate limits of 60 requests per minute per IP address. Exceeding these limits may result in temporary access restrictions. Persistent abuse may result in permanent IP blocking.

No Warranty

The Service and all tools are provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that:

  • Tool results will be accurate, complete, or current at all times.
  • The Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.
  • Any defects in the Service will be corrected.

Tool results are provided for informational purposes only. You are responsible for independently verifying any information obtained through the Service before relying on it for critical decisions.

User Responsibility

You are solely responsible for how you use the results obtained from Probe Toolkit. We are not responsible for any actions you take based on information provided by our tools.

Intellectual Property

The Probe Toolkit name, logo, website design, and underlying code are the intellectual property of Patchen Technologies LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without prior written permission.

Results generated by the tools (such as DNS records, WHOIS data, or encoded strings) belong to you. You are free to use, share, and publish tool output as you see fit.

Service Changes

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any tool or feature of the Service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation of the Service.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Patchen Technologies LLC and its owners, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the Service.

In no event shall our total liability exceed $0 USD, as the Service is provided free of charge.

Governing Law

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the courts of the United States.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
