Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Probe Toolkit ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you should not use the Service. The Service is operated by Patchen Technologies LLC ("we," "us," or "our").

Description of Service

Probe Toolkit provides free, browser-based IT, network, and developer tools. Tools include DNS lookups, WHOIS queries, IP geolocation, encoding/decoding utilities, and other network and developer utilities. The Service is provided at no cost and does not require account creation.

Permitted Use

You may use Probe Toolkit freely for both personal and commercial purposes, subject to the following conditions:

  • You must use the tools lawfully and in accordance with all applicable local, state, national, and international laws and regulations.
  • You must not use automated scripts, bots, scrapers, or other software to make bulk or automated requests to the Service without prior written permission from Patchen Technologies LLC.
  • You must not attempt to circumvent rate limits, access controls, or any other protective measures implemented by the Service.

Prohibited Use

The following uses of the Service are strictly prohibited:

  • Stalking, harassment, or doxxing: Using any tool to obtain information about individuals for the purpose of stalking, harassing, threatening, intimidating, or publicly exposing private information about any person.
  • Unauthorized access: Using the tools to facilitate unauthorized access to computer systems, networks, accounts, or data belonging to others.
  • Network attacks: Using the tools to plan, facilitate, or execute denial-of-service attacks, port scanning, vulnerability scanning, or any form of network attack against systems you do not own or have authorization to test.
  • Spam and abuse: Using the tools to facilitate the sending of unsolicited email, verify harvested email addresses, or conduct any activity related to email spam.
  • Intellectual property infringement: Using the tools to facilitate copyright infringement, trademark violations, or other intellectual property violations.
  • Illegal activity: Using the tools in connection with any activity that violates applicable law, including but not limited to fraud, identity theft, or computer crimes.

We reserve the right to block IP addresses, implement CAPTCHAs, or take other measures to prevent abuse of the Service. Suspected misuse may be reported to appropriate law enforcement authorities.

Accuracy of Results

Tool results are provided for informational purposes only. We do not guarantee that results will be accurate, complete, or current at all times. Data returned by our tools is sourced from third-party services, public DNS records, and public databases that may contain errors, outdated information, or incomplete records.

IP geolocation results are approximate. Geolocation data is based on database lookups that may be inaccurate, particularly at the city level. Results should not be used to identify a specific individual, household, or physical street address. See our IP Geolocation tool for a more detailed accuracy disclaimer.

You are solely responsible for independently verifying any information obtained through the Service before relying on it for business, legal, security, or other critical decisions.

No Warranty

THE SERVICE AND ALL TOOLS ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

Limitation of Liability

TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, PATCHEN TECHNOLOGIES LLC AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR IN CONNECTION WITH YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE EXCEED FIFTY DOLLARS ($50.00 USD).

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Patchen Technologies LLC and its owners, employees, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from or related to your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

Intellectual Property

The Probe Toolkit name, logo, website design, and underlying code are the intellectual property of Patchen Technologies LLC. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service without prior written permission.

Results generated by the tools (such as DNS records, WHOIS data, or encoded strings) are derived from public data and belong to you. You are free to use, share, and publish tool output as you see fit.

DMCA and Takedown Requests

If you believe that content displayed by the Service infringes your copyright or other intellectual property rights, please see our DMCA policy page for takedown procedures and contact information for our designated agent.

Service Changes

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any tool or feature of the Service at any time without prior notice. We are not liable to you or any third party for any modification, suspension, or discontinuation.

Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms of Service are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict of laws principles. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Jefferson County, New York, and you consent to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
